Mr. Albert R. Mitchell, 91 of Quitman passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Archbold Medical Center.  Mr. Mitchell was born January 6, 1926 to the late David & Lilian Scott Mitchell.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from farming.  
Survivors include his children, Bonnie (Raymond) Horne of Marianna, Fl., and DeLee Ives of Quitman; grandchildren, Alicia Horne, Nikki (Travis) Williams, Todd Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Carrie (Austin) Lodge, Courtney Brasington, and Tiffany Brasington; great grandchildren, Logan Williams, Charisma Williams, Jade Williams, and Waylon Lodge.  Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Garbett Mitchell; his son, Albert R. Mitchell, Jr.; two brothers; two sisters; and son in law, Bubba Ives.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites.  The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
