Claudia Thagard Obituary

Mrs. Claudia Thagard, 101 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Quitman Presbyterian Home. Mrs. Thagard was born May 2, 1916 to the late Henry Grady McGiboney and Nancy Elizabeth Johnson McGiboney. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, June (Hank) Kinard of Jacksonville, Fl, Bobby (Alexis) Thagard of Callahan, FL., Bennett (Patricia) Thagard of Quitman, and Ruby Jean (Tommy) Maloch of Pike Road, AL.; grandchildren, Jeff Kinard, Lee Kinard, Dink (Rhonda) Thagard, Kelly (Shawn) Thagard, Scott (Beth) MaLoch, Jennifer Gibson, and Dean Thagard; several great grandchildren. Mrs. Thagard was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Lee Thagard; grandchild, Jason Gibson; sisters, Lorine Kimble, and Jeanette Willaford.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:15 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Larry Harris officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 2:00 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home before the service.
