Mr. Dennis Delaney, 77 of Adel passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton.  Mr. Delaney was born September 10, 1939 to the late Thomas Clemons Delaney & Nancy Pearl Tyson Delaney.  He retired from Pearman Engineering Company in Chula, GA.
Survivors include his son, Dennis Thomas "Tommy" Delaney (Mary Ann) of Massee; two grandchildren, Dennis Thomas "T.J." (Mandy) Delaney, and Rebecca Louise (Justin) Cornelius; great grandchildren, Alex Delaney, McKenzie Delaney, Emily Sellars, and Chloe Sellars; siblings, Vernard Cone of Thomasville, Margie Davis of Macon, Doris Tyson of Adel, Mazie (Hugh) Joiner of Macon, Dorothy (Curtis) Pilcher of Adel, Mary Steinmeyer of Milledgeville, GA., and Lucy (Larry) Harris of Thomasville; sisters in law, Sally Delaney, and Dixie Delaney; several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Delaney was preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas Delaney, Earl Delaney, and Warren C. Delaney; one sister, Iris Delaney Grey; brothers in law, Sintell Cone, Jack Davis, Troy Tyson, and Erwin Steinmeyer.  
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Harris and Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
