Doyle Sumner Obituary

Mr. Doyle Sumner, 81 of Sparks passed away Sunday April 15, 2018. Mr. Sumner was born March 25, 1937 to the late Lawyer Sumner and Bessie Mae Lindsey Sumner. He was a member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church and worked at Purvis Funeral Home for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Elenor Faye Pritchard Sumner of Sparks; his son, Gregory Edward Sumner of Sparks; a brother and sister’s -in-law, Gene and Cora Mae Sumner of Sparks; Carolyn Sumner of Omega, GA. five grandchildren; Kyle Sumner, Nick Sumner, Zachery Sumner, Triniti Sumner, and Mica Sumner; three great-grandchildren; Landon Job, Ansleigh Sumner and Jason Sumner. Mr. Sumner was preceded in death by one son, Doyle Kevin Sumner; one daughter, Charlotte Sumner Feller; two brothers, Paul Sumner and Cranford Sumner; two sisters, Mary Iris Land and Billie Hester.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Walker and Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien Co. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
