Jody Lokey Obituary

Mr. Jody Lokey, 50 of Sparks passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Lokey was born June 27, 1967 to the late Thomas Mallie Lokey and Mary Jo Scarborough Lokey. He worked at Steeda Mfg. in Valdosta and he enjoyed fishing and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include his fiance, LaRonda Cortez of Sparks; sister, Anna Lokey Bagley of Chatsworth, GA.; nephews, Gage Lokey of Fitzgerald, and Garrett Lokey of Fitzgerald; sister in law, Candy Lokey of Fitzgerald; friend, Kyle Sadler of Sparks. Mr. Lokey was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Wayne Lokey; and brother in law, Dannon Bagley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the residence, 53 Fulghum Lane, Sparks, GA.

As a tribute to Jody, the family request that everyone wear jeans and Georgia Bulldog colors to the funeral service.
