Mr. Wendell Richwine, 83 of Nashville passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Pruitt Health in Moultrie. Mr. Richwine was born January 8, 1935 in Illinois to the late Glace & Leona Ethel Bogard Richwine. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Richwine attended The Bridge Church and worked at the Berrien County Courthouse before he retired.
Survivors include his children, Anna Sue (Lewis) Griffin of Moultrie, and Roger Lee Bowling & fiance, Kathleen Nash of Ray City; grandchildren, Edward (Carol) Robinette of Nashville, Johnny (Chelli) Robinette of Nashville, Terry (Nicole) Robinette of Nashville, Candy (Rodney) "Buddy" Stone of Nashville, Sherry Mayhorn of Phelps, Ky, Christopher (Santana) of Phelps, Ky, Mark Bowling of Illinois, Mike Bowling of Illinois, Amy (Adam) Harville of Illinois; step grandchildren, Bridget (Clayton) Singletary of Lake Park, Gidget (Kyle) Sweat of Cairo, and Lewis "J J" (Wendy) Griffin, Jr. of Thomasville; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Hambley of Illinois. Mr. Richwine was preceded in death by the love of his life for 47 years, Lurlie Christine Bowling; one daughter & son in law, Burma Bowling Robinette and Charles Robinette; great grandson, Joshua Robinette.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at The Bridge Church in Nashville with Pastor Robbie Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Nashville Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
