Amy Hurst

Amy Kristin Hurst, 49, was called home into the loving arms of Jesus early in the morning on November 24, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Amy was born December 2, 1969, in Quitman, GA to Betty Ruth Harrell and David Dalton.
Amy is survived by her husband and best friend of 31 years, David Hurst; son Brett Hurst (Taylor Gray); mother and step-father, Betty and Jay Morgan; father and step-mother, John and Julie Wingate; sister Kim (Dustin) Harmon and nephew, Conner Furney; brother and sister-in-law, Devearne (Julie) Hurst; step-mother Marty Dalton; brothers David (Amy) Dalton; Dusty (Anna) Dalton; Daniel (Laurie) Dalton; step brothers, Bryant (Jessica) Morgan and Luke Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by her biological father, David Dalton and younger brother Darby Dalton.
Amy was loved by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Amy's joy and smile were infectious and she always put others needs before her own.
A celebration of Amy's beautiful life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Quitman. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at her home at 204 East Lafayette Street, Quitman.
