Athene Faye Exum

Mrs. Athene Faye Exum, 86 of Lenox passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at her residence.  Mrs. Exum was born December 10, 1932 to the late Ethan & Alice Fort Bennett.  She retired from Union Camp and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her son, Lamar (Judy) Exum of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Dawn Exum, Jeremy Exum, and Taylor Exum; great grandchildren, Lexi Exum, Lee Exum, Lige Exum, Shannon Greene, Kendan Greene, and Blaize Wright; one brother, Cedar Bennett of Brookfield; sister, Iretha Luke of Lenox; several nieces & nephews.  Mrs. Exum was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Exum; brothers, Wesley Bennett, Joe Bennett, L. K. Bennett, and Boss Bennett; sisters, Lola McCall, Susie Sellars, Nan Fender, Alma Castleberry, O'dell Avery, and Meryl Pritchard.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
