Bobby Jones Obituary

Mr. Bobby Jones, 89 of Omega passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Jones was born November 1, 1930 to the late John & Vera Maddox Jones. He served in the United States Army and retired as a civil engineer with the Georgia DOT. Mr. Jones was a member of Omega Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Peggy Jones (Mike) Carr of Tifton, and Patricia Jones (Neil) Simmons of Ty Ty; four grandchildren ad three great grandchildren. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Grace Jones; former spouse, Joann Walker Jones; and one brother, Carrol Jones.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Mays officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery with the VVA Chapter #1090 of Adel providing military rites. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
