Ed Pedrick Obituary

Mr. Ed Pedrick, 87 of Quitman passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Fellowship Home.  Mr. Pedrick was born October 10, 1931 to the late Fuller & Christine Pedrick, Sr. and was a member of Quitman United Methodist Church. He was a life long resident of Brooks County with three generations of active farmers all residing in Brooks County dating back to the mid 1800's.  Mr. Pedrick owned several business that provided farming equipment and services to the farmers of South Georgia.  He was one of the original exhibitors in the Moultrie Georgia Sunbelt Expo.  Mr. Pedrick graduated from Georgia Military School in Milledgeville and was immediately a commissioned officer in the United States Army.  He served for 20 years in active and reserved duty and received the bronze star and two purple hearts.  Mr. Pedrick retired at the rank of Major.   

Survivors include his children, Joey (Melissa) Pedrick of Quitman, Kim Pedrick (Trent) Barnes of Dallas, TX, and Toi Pedrick (Robert Hardie) of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Raven (Brice) Hohenberger of Kapaa, Hi and Hunter Pedrick of Quitman.  Mr. Pedrick was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Pedrick; grandson, Dustin Barnes, and one brother Fuller Pedrick, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Quitman United Methodist Church with Rev. Sally Flowers and Rev. Jay Roberson officiating.  Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Flowers may be accepted or donations may be made to the Quitman United Methodist Church.
