Jane Young Obituary

Mrs. Jane Young, 89 of Quitman passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Presbyterian Home Quitman. Mrs. Young was born December 23, 1929 to the late Robert Mitchell & Frances Lowery Logan. She was a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church and was a kindergarten teacher with the Brooks County School System. Mrs. Young was also a pink lady at the Brooks County Hospital and loved to oil paint.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Leah) Harrison of Valdosta, and Carolyn (Wesley) Sirmans of Quitman; grandchildren, Steven Sirmans of Orlando, and Rachel (Justin) Harrison Bennett of Valdosta; one great grandchild, Jessica Sirmans; one sister, Roxie Roach of Miami, Fl; and sister in law, Jean Logan of Quitman.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Quitman First United Methodist Church in the Chapel.with Rev. Sally K. Flowers officiating.
