Mrs. Jeannie Brantley, 66 of Adel passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Brantley was born August 10, 1952 to the late James & Ruby Kelley Brown. She retired from the Salvation Army as a social worker.
Survivors include her children, Sterling Brantley of Moultrie, John (Brandy) Brantley of Clyattville, Garth Brantley Valdosta, and Kristin (Michael) Hughes of Adel; grandchildren, Katilyn Smith, Mackenzie Brantley, and Jayden Brantley; close cousins, Robert Kelley, Sr of Valdosta, Dianne Kelley Welch of Alapaha, Randy Kelley of Valdosta, and Beth Harris of Valdosta. Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her husband, Corley Brantley; and one sister, Virginia Asbell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Archbishop John Rinkle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
