Mr. Jim Tyler, 79 of Nashville passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center Berrien Campus. Mr. Tyler was born February 8, 1940 and was a member of Cecil Baptist Church. He loved to fish and was a devoted loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Tyler of Nashville; children, James Tyler, Jr of U.P. Michigan, Willie (Patti) Tyler of Guillver, Michigan, Edna Tyler Randall of Hesperia, Michigan, Jesse (Shelby) Tyler of Nashville, Dawn (Andy) Daniels of Nashville, Shawn (Roxanne) Tyler of Nashville, Sherry (Ricky) Tyler of Nashville, Jeannie (Greg) Courtoy of Tifton, and Jack (Michelle) Tyler of Moultrie; 28 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four brothers, and five sisters. Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Becker; one grandson, Jonathan Chriswell; and his mother, Edna Tyler.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Cecil Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
