John Folsom Obituary

John L. “Red” Folsom, 72, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Folsom was born January 17, 1946, in Valdosta, GA to the late Cutler and Nellie May Walker Folsom. Mr. Folsom was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction as a roofer and was a member of AmVets, Post 4.

Survivors include his sons: John C. Folsom of Chillicothe, OH, William W. (Shana) Folsom of Sarasota, FL, and Ryan Folsom of Miami, FL; granddaughters: Summer, Patricia and Amanda; and his longtime companion Carol Haynie of Chillicothe, OH. He was preceded by his parents, a sister Barbara Jones, and a brother Willie George Folsom.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Welcome Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.
