Lloyd Cole Obituary

Lloyd Vaughn Cole, 65, of Adel, passed away suddenly at his home Christmas Day, December 25, 2019. He was born May 17, 1954 in Hahira, GA, to the late Lloyd Verley “Bo” Cole and Nancy Carol Cole.

Mr. Cole worked for Bitco Insurance Companies as a Senior Risk Control Consultant. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed meeting a variety of people during his work travels throughout Georgia and Florida. Outside of work, Mr. Cole had numerous hobbies and interests. He loved woodworking, crafting unique things. He also had a passion for cars and motorcycles throughout his life. He was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and thoroughly enjoyed riding his motorcycles alone and with friends in his spare time. Additionally, Mr. Cole was an extremely talented musician with the ability to play a variety of instruments, and when he was not working or riding motorcycles, one would find him playing music or rebuilding guitars. For many years, he sang and played guitars with a local band, “One Way Out”, with some of his best friends.

Mr. Cole had an infectious laugh, could tell wonderful stories from his life, and was a man who never met a stranger. He had so many friendships that lasted his entire life. He wore his heart on his sleeve and deeply loved his family and friends. He was thoughtful and caring and did not let a day go by without making phone calls to his family and friends. His death is a shocking and extremely saddening loss for each one of them.

Mr. Cole is survived by his mother, Nancy Cole of Tifton; his brother and best friend, Stanley (Kristie) Cole of Talking Rock, GA; his sister Carol Cole of Cherry Log, GA; his sister Valeria Cole of Tifton, and his half-brother Adam (Jennifer) Cole of Nashville. He is also survived by niece Peyton (Cliff) Taylor, great-nephews Rowan and Deacon Taylor of Jacksonville, FL; nieces Lauren and Jenna Cole and nephew Ethan Cole of Talking Rock, GA; nephews Garron, Ebon and Doran Cole and nieces Caiden and Cora Cole of Nashville, and nephew Zaniel Cole and niece Atleigh Cole of Nashville.
