Mrs. Lula Mae Weldon, 81 of Pavo passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Weldon was born February 19, 1937 to the late Daniel John Touchton & Lillie Bishop Touchton. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Margaret (George) Tipton of Pavo, Cleveland (Sharon G.) Weldon, Jr. of Pavo, Becky (Robbie) Groves of Thomasville, Jerry Bob Weldon of Pavo, Daniel J. (Jessica) Weldon of Pavo, and Michael D. Weldon of Pavo; 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Rebecca Dean of Pavo; special friends, Carrie Bean and Pearlene Williams. Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Weldon, Sr.; son, Danny Lee Weldon; great grandson, Johnathon Tipton; sister, Mary Louise O'Neal; brother, Perman Allen Touchton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ione Freewill Baptist Church in Pavo with Bro. Buford Groves and Pastor Larry Cummins officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home.
