Mr. Luther Franklin, Jr., 88 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Presbyterian Home Quitman. Mr. Franklin was born October 25, 1930 to the late Luther Gardner Franklin and Margaret Lewis Franklin. Mr. Franklin served in the United States Army and was a aviation mechanic with the Southern Air Transport before retiring.

Survivors include his children, Timothy Franklin of Miami, Fl, Britt (Dot) Campbell of Mars, PA, Gary Franklin of Ponte Vedra, FL, Tammy (Curtis) Peterson of Miami, Fl, and Bonnie (William) Marcum of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Chad Peterson, Lauren Peterson, Nicole Grace, Timothy Joseph Franklin, Lindsey Calabrese, William "Daryl" Marcum, Ryan Campbell, Kevin Campbell, and Christopher Campbell; great grandchildren, Hayden Grace, Landon Franklin, Arianna Grace, Addison Franklin, Annalee Franklin, Kaylee Campbell, and Zachary Campbell. Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Franklin; brothers, Bryant Franklin, Herbert Franklin, and Lee Franklin; and one sister, Anita Franklin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Morven Baptist Church with Chaplain Bertrum Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
