Marian Mainprize Obituary

Mrs. Marian Belle Mainprize, 86 of Boston passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Legacy Village in Thomasville.  Mrs. Mainprize was born December 12, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Wayne & Alma June Leaman Galbraith.  She worked with Michigan Bell Telephone for over 30 years and enjoyed going to Las Vegas, watching football, going to the lake house.  Mrs. Mainprize loved to laugh, to read, spend Christmas with everyone, but most of all she loved her family and loved to spend time with her great grandchildren.  

Survivors include her children, Dan (Deborah) Mainprize of Pavo, Diane Mainprize (Stan) Weiss of Boston, and Debbie Mainprize (Dennis) Schmitzer of Pavo; grandchildren, Brenda Schmitzer of Lake Park, Annie Weiss (Lee) Jackson of Valdosta, Aaron (Bria) Weiss of Smyrna, GA, Adam (Beth) Weiss of Ochlocknee, GA, Danny Mainprize of Thomasville, and Jody Mainprize (Allen) Small of Thomasville; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Pat) Galbraith of Bridgeport, MI, Duane Galbraith of Saint Louis, MI, and Nancy Galbraith Johnson of Ontonagon, MI; and special friends, John (Brittany) Herzog, and Michael (Dana) Herzog and Taylor.  Mrs. Mainprize was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Louis "Duke" E. Mainprize; grandson, Dennis M. Schmitzer; brother, William Herrick and one sister, Lila V. Herrick.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Harris officiating.
