Mrs. Marsha Chatting, 64 of Adel, formerly of Eastman passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at her residence.  Mrs. Chatting was born October 5, 1953 to the late John Lewis Spires and Rachel Tillman Spires.  She had once worked with Wal-mart as a training coordinator and attended the Congressional Holiness Church in Eastman, GA.

Survivors include her children, Dwayne (Stacey) Smith of Newnan, Regina Catoe of Eastman, Joshua Chatting of Savannah, and Michael Chatting of Eastman; grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Breaunna Smith, Ryan Catoe, Rachel Catoe, Daniel Phillips, McKenzie Chatting, Madison Chatting, and Miguel Chatting; one brother, David (Irene) Spires of Sparks, and one sister, Margaret Stripling of Adel.  Mrs. Chatting was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Phillips; sibilings, Martha Gilliam, John Spires, Jimmy Spires, Jessie Spires, and Tony Spires.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. W. A. Parrish officiating.  The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
