Michael Alvin Browning, 54 of Valdosta, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born June 24, 1963 in Valdosta, GA. He attended Philadelphia Baptist Church of Quitman. He loved fishing, and watching his nieces and nephews ball games. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Browning, grandparents General Jackson Browning, Iella Browning, Columbus Boyd McDaniel and Debbie McDaniel.
Survivors include his mother, Latrelle McDaniel Browning, step daughter-Marie Joiner and her husband Jay Joiner, brother, Scott Browning and sister-in-law Charlotte Browning, brother, Ashley Browning, sister, Sharon Browning Boykin and brother-in-law Andy Boykin. He had 7 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Quitman, GA. with Rev. Klay Luke officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home, Quitman GA to help with funeral expenses.
