Mrs. Shirley J. Yawn Edmondson Billingsley, 82 of Morven passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Archbold Medical Center. Mrs. Billingsley was born August 21, 1936 to the late Ernest & Josephine Black Yawn. She was currently working at Brooks Co. Recycle Center in Morven.
Survivors include her husband, Monroe Billingsley of Morven; children, Karl (Tina) Edmondson of Tifton, Brian Edmondson of Quitman, Donna Edmondson (Dennis) Wilson of Quitman, Melissa Edmondson Broome of Quitman, and Erika Edmondson of Quitman; grandchildren, Suzanne Wilson (Matt) Howell, Justin (Lorianne) Wilson, Kelly Wilson (Joel) Beaty, Wilson Beaty, Emily Wilson, Alexia Wilson, Addison Wilson, Sammy Wilson, Kade Wilson, Kole Wilson, Aliyah Wilson, Zoe Wilson, Jerad Edmondson, Matthew Edmondson, Dani Edmondson, Brandon (Megan Wilson) Broome, Kelsi (Kiah) Croft, Nicholas Vargas, David Vargas, Alia Edmondson, Anna Parson, and Joseph Rogers; 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Billingsley was preceded in death by her previous spouse, Gerald Dennis Edmondson; son, David Edmondson; and two brothers, Eugene Yawn, and Charles Yawn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p. m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home.
