William Matherly, Jr. Obituary

Mr. William Matherly, Jr. 55 of Adel passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Matherly was born December 18, 1963 to the late William & Marie Larimer Matherly, Sr. Mr. Matherly served as a minister.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Matherly of Adel; sons, James Matherly of Adel, and Brad Matherly of TN; grandchildren, Addison Matherly, Landon Matherly, Payton Matherly, Braiden Matherly, Jacob Matherly, and Rena Matherly; brother, James Matherly of TN; sister, Mary Meadows; mother in law, Arlene Sparks of Maine; and his beloved dog, Dixie. Mr. Matherly was preceded in death by one brother, Avery Lynch; and father in law, Harvey C. Sparks.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Evangelist Mike Thornberg officiating.
