Mrs. Onie Alvlene Royal, 71 of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Royal was born November 25, 1948 to the late Bea and Ruby Ethel Green Myers. She worked at Nashville Textile before she retired.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Teresa (Ronnie) Giddens of Nashville, Jeff (Shana) Royal of Nashville, and David Royal of Nashville; step grandchildren, Amanda Griffin, Lisa Browning, Katherine Royal, Dalton Royal, Daniel Royal, Josh Royal, and Chloe Royal; several step great grandchildren; brothers, Oklan (Lucy) Myers of Lenox, and Ronfurd (Sonia) Myers of Valdosta; and two sisters, Miracle (Earl) Wade of Quitman, and Lunora DelRossi of Valdosta. Mrs. Royal was preceded in death by her husband, William Royal; brother, Lennon Myers, and two sisters, Evelyn Ellison, and Vurna Purvis.
Graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Greene officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
