Barbara Hancock

Our dear mother, Barbara Ann Tripp Hancock, 82 went to meet her Lord on December 25, 2022 at the Rapha Residential Care in Gaston, S C after a long illness. She was born June 22, 1940 in Adel. Barbara became a registered nurse later in life which was one of her proudest accomplishments. 

Survivors include her four children, Caryn Gold, Melody Wooten, Charles Jordan Hancock, Jr., and Robin Williams; grandchildren, Ashley Wainwright, Erica Busbee, Raegan Wooten, Dylan Hancock, Charles Jordan Hancock, III, Dustin Hall, and Desiree Hall; great grandchildren, Heath and Bradley Wainwright, Landon, Braydon, Michaela Busbee, Daniel and Taylor Sawyer, Madison Roundtree, Jesse and Shepherd Hancock, Braxton and Alyssa Hall; great great grandchildren, Abigail and Easton Sawyer, Tripp Willingham, and many extended cousins, nieces, and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles J. Hancock; and her brother, Bobby Tripp.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox with Minister Cris Nail officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Rapha Residential Care in Gaston, S C, who provided excellent care and compassion. Our mother was a great inspiration and Christian testimony up until her passing. In life, we loved her dearly, in death we will love her still. In our hearts she will hold a place no one else will ever fill. We are assured she is with her Lord and Saviour and those who have gone before.
