Betty Knight

Mrs. Betty Knight, 79 of Ray City passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Berrien Nursing Center. Mrs. Knight was born February 10, 1941 in Lanier County to the late O T Grimes and Lillie Mae Harsey Grimes. She was employed for several years at Textile Mills and retired from Nashville Mills. 

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy (Verone) Myers of Barney; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Grimes of Fort Myers Fl; and one sister, Faye Conger of Fort Myers, Fl. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Hancil Thomas; two children, Jimmy Wayne Thomas and Brenda Gist; two brothers, O T Grimes and Raymond Grimes.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a m at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Nashville Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
