Billy Brady

Mr. Billy Brady, 76 of Adel passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Pruitt Peake in Macon. Mr. Brady was born March 24, 1944 to the late Leon and Mollie Phelps Brady. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Massee Baptist Church. Mr. Brady loved to fish and hunt. He was known in Cook County as the "Peanut Man."

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Phillips of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, David William Leif Phillips, and Coral Morgan Phillips; and brother, Bobby Brady of Adel. Mr. Brady was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Brady; and sister Sylvia Bryan. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Badley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery with the VVA Chapter #1090 of Adel providing the military rites. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
