Buie Rowan

Mr. David "Buie" Rowan, 72 of Doerun passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Rowan was born June 15, 1948 to the Buie Johnson Rowan & Eula B. Rowan. He was a avid fisherman and a master story teller. 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Rowan of Doerun; children, Buie Jeffery (Laura) Rowan, Jennifer (Chris) Bittinger, Jason (Jonelle) Rowan, Kendra (Steven) Walden, and Kevin Davis and special friend, Rebekah Newsome; grandchildren, Brent (Ciera) Rowan, Macy Rowan, Morgan Rowan, Aysia Bittinger, Ian Bittinger, Taylor Rowan, Payton Rowan, Johnathan (Ashley) Walden; Mark (Casidy) Walden, Gracie (Alex) Everett, Brenin Davis, Britney (Jesse) Fleming, Raven Davis, and Tristan Davis; great grandchildren,Aubrey Rowan, Asher Everett, Faithlyn Walden and Keegan Folsom; sisters, Shirley Drew, Joyce Gay and Peggy Taylor; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rowan was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, J L  Rowan and wife Carrie, Jack Gay, Robert Taylor, and Carolyn Sue Nichols and Donald Nichols.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Longbridge Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Mr. Rowan's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
