Mr. Charlie Wright, 75 of Adel passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Wright was born June 1, 1946 to the late Clearance & Ruth Attaway Wright. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and farming.
Survivors include his children, Charlie Wright, Jr of Calhoun, GA, Jimmy Wright of Calhoun, GA, Serena (Edgar) Hummer of Calhoun GA, Rose Mary Franklin of Murfreesboro, TN, and Michelle (Saundra) Kilgore of Nashville; seven grandchildren and special grandchildren, Noah Singletary, and Naluum Singletary; special person in his life, Linda Newborn of Adel; brother, James Wright of Nashville; special niece & nephews, Janet Singletary of Nashville, Ronald Snell, and Randall Snell. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his first wife, Yvonne Chappell; former wife, Audrey O'Hagan of Nashville; daughter Terrie Lee Lynn Wright that passed away in 2015; two brothers, Junior Wright, Marvin Wright; and two sisters, Ruby Wright, and Annie Kate Tuttle.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Holcomb officiating.
