Danny Ray Crosby

Mr. Danny Ray Crosby, 76 of Quitman passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Lake City V A Medical Center. Mr. Crosby was born September 10, 1944 to the late Jim T. Crosby and Louise Taylor Crosby. He worked at Atlanta Gas Light for 28 years. Mr. Crosby was a member of Welcome Hill Church of Christ and served 4 years in the United States Army in the Vietnam War in 1967.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Crosby of Quitman; son, Michael (Tina) Crosby of Nichols, GA; daughter, Tammy Hancock of Quitman; two granddaughters, Jessica (Sam) Rogers of Quitman, and Allie (Lance) Carter of Quitman; six great grandchildren, Kagen Carter, AnaKate Rogers, Ganaan Carter, Jace Rogers, AvaGrace Rogers, and Pason Carter. Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his brother & sister in law, Gene and Marget Crosby, brothers, Wayne Crosby, and Jimmy Crosby; and sister & brother in law, Betty and Bo Asbell.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Welcome Hill Church with Mr. Jerry Herring officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Wright, Brad Wright, Michael Crosby, Lance Carter, Sam Rogers, Ricky Parker, Jace Rogers, and Gannan Carter.
