Dianne Hamlin Obituary

Beverly "Dianne" Elsberry Hamlin, 83 of the Presbyterian Home, Quitman passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Dianne was born February 24, 1939 to the late Thelma Rives and Barnard Ivey Elsberry. She was a homemaker and pastor's wife, as well as having taught Spanish and Bible at Westbrook School in Dixie, GA. She enjoyed animals of all kinds, NASCAR, word puzzles and her family. Dianne was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Quitman, where she taught Sunday School for many years. 

Survivors include her sons, Artis, Barnard (Debbie), and David; grandchildren, Joshua Hamlin of Lees Summit, MO, Whitney Hamlin Slenker of Gardner KS, and Leigh Anne (Joshua) Hoes of Lebanon, PA; and great grandchildren, Lily Grace Hamlin, Paxton Slenker, and Asher Slenker. Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lee Hamlin; son, Jon Hamlin; and her daughter in law, Michelle Hamlin, who was married to David.

Private Graveside service will be held for immediate family member on July 7, 2022 with Rev Steve Shierling officiating. Our deepest appreciation is given to the Presbyterian Home Quitman, and to Bethany Hospice for their attentive and devoted care.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Dianne's name to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church Quitman.
