Ed Johnson

Mr. James Edward Johnson, 69 of Nashville passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born September 10, 1951 by the late Troy & Ester Spurlock Johnson. He served in the United States Navy and was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Johnson of Nashville; stepsons, Lee Phillips, Joshua Rowe, Lonnie Taft, and Anthony Taft; grandchildren, Jamie Dyall, Tori Taft, and Little Lonnie Taft; brother, Jerry (Susan) Johnson; brothers in law, Anthony, Lonnie, and Taft; sister in law, Judy Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Johnson Edward; and two brothers, Marlin Johnson, and Gary Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends 2 hours prior to the service.
