Gladys Green Obituary

Mrs. Gladys Green, 90 of Quitman passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Presbyterian Home Quitman. Mrs. Green was born April 9, 1931 to the late Preston & Ethel Mae Gill King. She was a member of First Baptist Church Quitman and she loved her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan. Mrs. Green made the best homemade biscuits ever made. She loved and was devoted to her family.

Survivors include her children, Larry and wife, Deryl Green of Hahira, Jean and her husband, Harmon Head of Oglethorpe, Ga, and Delores and her husband Hiram Bembry of Tifton; grandchildren, Lee ( Angie) Bembry of Bluffton, S C, Michelle (Chris) Morrow of Tifton, Drs. Erin(Nic) Dodson of Hahira, Lee (Shayla) Green of Lake Park; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; brothers, Douglas (Zelma) King of Hephzi, Norman (Katherine) King of Bronson Fl, and Donald (Jean) King of Hague Fl; sisters, Mary Vann of Hague, Fl, and Betty Munn of Hague, Fl. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Green; grandson, Cory Allen Head; sisters, Nora Dalton, Mayme Scott, Mildred Williams Benefield, Wilma Rippy, and Merdyline King; brothers, Claude King, and Preston King, Jr. 

A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating.
