Jason Daniel Simpson

Mr. Jason Daniel "Red Bird" Simpson, 39 of Lake Park passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Simpson was born March 25, 1980 in Augusta Ga.  He served in the United States Army and was a boiler Maker with National Boiler Services. Mr. Simpson was a member of Lake Park Church of God and loved his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, April Simpson of Lake Park; son, Gauge Mahlstadt of Lake Park; daughters, Callie Simpson of Lake Park, Ashley Simpson of Valdosta, Abby Simpson of Valdosta, Madison Simpson of Valdosta, and Bailey Simpson of Valdosta; mother, Susan Black Simpson; brother, David (Liz) Simpson of Lakeland; nieces, Mikayla Musselwhite; nephews, Granger Simpson, William Corner, and Bailey Musselwhite brother in law, Chris (Nicole) Musselwhite of Clyattville and Ricky Folsom of Clyattville; father in law, Ricky McClendon of Clyattville; mother in law, Diane Merwin of Clyattville.  Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Simpson;  grandparents, J.D. & Frances Black, and Lavon Musselwhite; niece Makenna Musselwhite.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Lake Park Church of God with Bro. Keith Sandlin and Bro. Stoney Gaskins officiating.
