Larry Hall Brooks

Mr. Larry Brooks, 77 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at his home. Mr. Brooks was born June 30, 1945 to the late Henry Issac & Grace Hobbs Brooks. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Brooks worked many years with Crackin Good Bakery and many more with Winn Dixie before retiring. After retiring he drove a school bus for several years with the Brooks County Board of Education. Mr. Brooks enjoyed fishing, especially at Lake Eufaula, and also enjoyed vacations with his family and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, LaTia Brooks of Quitman; son, Michael Brooks of Quitman; daughter, Donna Earp of Lakeland, GA; grandchildren, Andria Earp of Live Oak, Fl, Jonathon Earp of Athens, GA and Kayla Earp of Lakeland, GA; and sister, Hilda (Jake) Griffin of Quitman. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his brother, Loran Brooks; and his sister, Henrinell Sheffield. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Studstill officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home.
