Loraine Jones Obituary
Mrs. Loraine Jones, 82 of Quitman passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Jones was born February 2, 1938 to the late Gordon & Daisy Mills Bradford. She was a member of Hickory Head Baptist Church where she was the former pianist and taught Sunday School. She was a caregiver to many in the community and family. Mrs. Jones was a loving christian mother and grandmother, who was devoted to her church and family.
Survivors include her daughters, Jerri (Eddie) Hayes of Quitman, and Dawn (Ray) Thomas of Quitman; grandchildren, Cristi Beaty, Joel Beaty, Kelly Yawn, and Ken Yawn; great granchildren, Wilson Beaty, Brianna Yawn, and Lidia Lawhorne; sister, Leona Marshall of Brooks Co. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hamilton Jones; brothers, Jake Bradford, Tom Bradford, Charles Gordon "C G" Bradford, Jr, and Charles Bradford; sisters, Louise Huffmaster, Lois Dukes, and Lillian Harnage.
A private graveside service will be Monday, May 11, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hutto officiating.
