Preston Williams Obituary
Mr. Preston Williams, 86 of Lenox passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Williams was born May 17, 1934 to the late Calvin & Aurelia Richardson Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Goff Williams of Lenox; children, Don (Pam) Williams of Lenox, Peggy (Rusty) Barnes of Lenox, and Ronnie (Jana) Williams of Lenox; grandchildren, Joey (Melissa) Williams, Stephanie (Alley) Danforth, Wendy (Chris) Wyatt, Christi (Jerrod) Stalvey, and Heather Williams; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Williams of Engima, and Billy Williams of Alapaha; sisters, Jackie Pearman of Ty Ty, Linda Kay Curry of West Berrien, and Faye McCluskey of Lenox; and special friend, his dog "Red." Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Williams, and Wycliffe Williams; sisters, Emma Jean Rogers, Wanda Sue Snow, and Beverly Davis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Purvis Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Bennett, and Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating. Covid-19 social distancing guidelines will be in place. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
