Ray Leon Simpson

Mr. Ray Leon Simpson, 86 of Quitman passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Simpson was born September 28, 1935 to the late W. Ray & Eula Lee Dasher Simpson. He was a member of Welcome Hill Church of Christ and was faithful on going to church. He loved his family and was a kind, sweet, and a very good man.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patricia Lunette Coody Simpson of Quitman; daughters, Tina Simpson Cox of Quitman, and Lita Dawn Simpson of TX; grandchildren, Theresa Lee Cox Duncil (Jeff Duncil) of MI, and Tara Lynn Cox of Quitman; great grandson, Waylon Cox; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; sisters in law, Vanelle Williams of Quitman, Jeanette Cooper of Evans Ga, Kay Coody & brother in law, Ronald Coody of Quitman, and brother in law, Bruce Roberts of Valdosta; and his friend, Wallace Turner of Quitman. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Simpson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April, 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Welcome Hill Church of Christ with Minister Jerry Herring, and Minister Mike Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
