Teresita Sanchez Rivera

Teresita “Teri” Sanchez Rivera October 15, 1946 – June 26, 2022 
Teri Rivera, 75 of Adel passed away Sunday June 26, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. Teri was born October 15, 1946 in Agana, Guam moving to states following her father, Jose A. Rivera, who served in the United States Navy, and made her home in Livermore, CA. She became a preschool teacher retiring in 2009, at which time she decided to move to Adel, GA to be with her daughters and granddaughters. 
She enjoyed baseball, football, going to the beach (but not going into the water), and being with her family. She became a born again Christian and devoted her life to Christ and all things good. 
She is preceded in death by her father Jose A. Rivera, mother Juanita S. Rivera, and brothers Tony Rivera and Ronnie Rivera.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dyane and Toby Heard of Adel, GA; daughter J.J. Francis of Valdosta, GA; granddaughter Alyssa Francis of Valdosta, GA; granddaughter Ashley (Alex) Sparks of Amesbury, MA; siblings Joe (Ilene) Rivera of Benecia, CA; Eddie (Cheryl) Rivera of Binghamton, NY; Laverne (Mark) Hancock of Gualala, CA; sister-in-law Sharon Rivera of Las Vegas, NV; Richard Rivera of Livermore, CA; Debbie Joe (Dawn) Rivera of Sunnyvale, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening at Purvis Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m.
