Van George Obituary

Van Maurice George, 75 of Quitman passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at his residence. Mr. George was born August 23, 1946 to the late Maurice & Winnie George. He graduated in 1964 from Cook County High School and attended ABAC. Mr. George served in the United States Army and worked at Windstream before he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Aldrich-George of Quitman; sister, Sandra (Ronnie) Oglesby of Hahira; nieces and nephews, Angie and Leslie Folsom of Adel and their children, Ethan, Jack, and Greer; Obie Oglesby from Lake Park, Ga and his child, Julian; and Cory & Teresa Oglesby from Hahira and their children, Miles and Olivia.

A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
