Wendell Manning Obituary

Mr. Wendell Manning, 75 of Barney passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Southwell Health & Rehabilitation in Adel.  He was born September 17, 1944 to the late Johnny Paul Manning and Olene Coleman Manning.  Mr. Manning was a farmer all his life and was a member of Barney United Methodist Church.  He was a honest loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Manning of Barney; children, Paul (Amanda) Manning of Barney, Michelle Manning of Barney, and Patsy (Curtis) Strickland of Adel; grandchildren, Juana McGuire, Dustin Manning, Anthony Manning, Carlisa Manning, Skyler Manning, Kelin "K. J." Manning, Roman Welch, Quinton Welch, and Victoria Brannon; great grandchildren, Kaden Welch, Emmarie Welch, Sterling Slaughter, Hunter Ross, Ashlyn Ross, Bentley McGuire, Conner McGuire, Destin Manning, Kinsley Manning, Emily Williams, Jada Manning, Cotton Manning, Brenlyn Murphy, Dallas Manning, Dakota Manning, Chandler Brannon, and Gabriella Brannon. Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his grandson, Chandler Manning.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Kurt Childers officiating.  The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home.
