William "Mac" Hay Obituary

Mr. William "Mac" Hay, 83 of Ray City passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Mr. Hay was born November 28, 1939 to the late D. M. Hay and Inez Patton Hay. He served in the Army National Guard, and before retiring he was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hay enjoyed fishing, tinkering with tractors, and spending time with his family. His was a life well lived.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kate Hay of Ray City; son, Ronald Hay of Arkansas; brother, Buddy (Julie) Hay of Savannah; and one sister, Guelda Coates of Ohio. Mr. Hay was preceded in death by his son, DeWayne Hay; and two brothers, Freddy Hay, and Bobby Hay.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Austin DeLoach, Jr and Pastor Jerry Rewis officiating. The interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
